Troye Sivan performs sly SelGo + JBiebs mashup

Troye Sivan pulled a slick move in a recent visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. In a web-exclusive performance, the openly-gay singer/songwriter and YouTube star sang a mashup of Selena Gomez’s latest single and a popular track from Justin Bieber’s recently-released album “Purpose.”

Though the cover makes sense sonically — both songs have a similar chill, tropical, electro-pop vibe — this particular mashup is slightly shady, given SelGo and JBiebs’ rocky relationship history.

Troye, who recently released his debut LP “Blue Neighborhood,” definitely knows what he’s doing, judging from the sly smile he flashes when he switches up from singing SelGo’s “Hands to Myself” to belting the chorus from Justin’s “Sorry.”

Though the intent may be a bit backhanded, the mashup is great regardless and Troye’s performance is on point. See for yourself below.
