“Orange is the New Black” star and her fashion-designer fiancee Phoebe Dahl have called it quits. The pair announced their engagement in March 2014, after dating for three months. Now, after being together for two years, the queer it-couple have decided to end their engagement.

“After two wonderful years together, Ruby and I have decided to part ways,” Phoebe told Us Weekly magazine in an exclusive statement. “While we still love each other and support each other in every way, it is our mutual decision to part ways … we want nothing but the best for each other.”

Though their relationship started off strong — Phoebe told Out magazine earlier this year that it was “love at first sight” — the first sign of trouble came this summer, when the couple announced that their wedding was being pushed back, due to Ruby’s filming schedule for OITNB.

After that, rumors started swirling that the couple was on the outs, until the stars finally confirmed things earlier this week, tweeting their well-wishes for each other.

“[Phoebe] remains very dear to my heart,” Ruby tweeted. “I will forever treasure our time together. I’m a better person because of all we shared.”

Phoebe returned the sentiment, hinting that they will stay in each other’s lives.

“You have brought me to my best and I will always love you,” she tweeted from her clothing company’s account. “I can’t wait to see what the future brings for us.”

This isn’t the first time Ruby has had a relationship go south. According to the Daily Mail, the model and actress had been previously engaged three times before her relationship with Phoebe.

While it’s sad to see such a high-profile queer relationship end, the good news — for her admirer’s, at least — is that now the universally-adored Ruby Rose is on the rebound.
